As ÎÚÑ»ÊÓƵ welcomes new President Lee Fisher and marks 180 years since its 1845 founding, the institution is demonstrating continued commitment to accessible, high-quality education with the launch of the President's Horizon Award.

The new $1,845 scholarship is available to new, first-year students, renewable for four years and layered on top of the already generous package of financial aid and grants that BW awards to every student.

When combined with other institutional grants, federal aid and state assistance, the Horizon Award helps ensure that BW's net price remains competitive with public university options while delivering the personalized attention and comprehensive support that are hallmarks of a BW education.

"The Horizon Award is open to students and families from all income levels and will contribute significantly to assuring the net price tuition at BW lives up to our consistent ranking as a 'Best Value' college experience," said President Fisher, whose formal inauguration is coming up on October 9. "This scholarship reflects our unwavering belief that a transformative education in a high-demand career field should be within reach for students from all backgrounds."

Expanding Access to Excellence

The President's Horizon Award represents BW's latest initiative to make its distinctive education more accessible. The $1,845 amount honors the university's founding year and symbolizes BW's historic commitment to providing educational opportunities for students from all backgrounds.

"Financial barriers should never prevent talented students from pursuing their educational goals and meeting employer need," Fisher said. "The Horizon Award is our investment in the next generation of leaders, innovators and changemakers."

Unlike many scholarship programs that require separate applications, the President's Horizon Award is automatically awarded to eligible, incoming first-year students. The renewable nature of the scholarship means students can count on this support throughout their four-year journey, providing families with predictable financial planning.

Building on a Legacy of Value

Baldwin Wallace has consistently earned recognition for providing exceptional educational value, combining rigorous academics with practical experiential learning and strong career outcomes. Because BW graduates are known for being leader-ready, career-ready and future-ready, alumni are successful across diverse, in-demand career sectors.

The scholarship initiative reflects the university's broader institutional goals to expand BW's reach and impact while maintaining the close-knit community and personalized education that have defined the university since its founding.
